My first experience in public was on a nudist beach in Germany years ago. I had heard about a lake with a peninsula in the middle which was a designated nudist area. So I didn't bother even bringing a swimsuit. When I entered the nudist area I took off my clothes straight away and walked around to find a spot.
It felt so right walking around nude, I didn't care who saw me. It was like I had found how I was supposed to be. Only later on did I notice that most people left their clothes on until they found a spot. The beach was very crowded with all ages and I did not feel at all vulnerable as a single women.
It was just wonderful walking around nude, swimming and reading a book. I even bought an icecream from a (clothed) icecream seller, again here most people got dressed to join the queue but I didn't bother, I was on a nudist beach, the clothed icecream seller was the odd one out! The hardest part was putting on my clothes again and leaving.
